Nabani Das Khyapa Baul the only Khyapa Baul or Khyapa Baul was the only Baul who had a friendship with Deben Battacharya who was wrong on many things about Baul, he did not even understand who Nabani was at any level of depth. Nabani joked with him and pretended he was illiterate and Deben bought it all. Then writers who actually are in the mode of faking a Baul Guru and Western Baul lineage who do not know the languages Nabani knew including Oral Sanskrit and yes he could read manuscripts, Babu Kishan had all of Nabanis manuscripts. He spoke Vernacular Birbhum Bengali and composed his poetry in both. He was an adept at Baul Sandhya Bhasha and Braja Bhasha. He traveled all over India so many times, thus he could converse with people of India. So much ignorance has swirled around about Baul because the people talking are ignorant, they do not know anything but use everything from this lineage to commit indigenous fraud and indigenous identity theft.
